Technology
In Cane Bay, a reliable, high-speed fiber optic network winds through the entire community, giving each builder the option to give any or every home access. This high-bandwidth connection will accommodate future configurations as Internet capabilities and delivery methods change, so there will never be a bottleneck slowing up web traffic. And there’s another nice bonus to this network: it makes Cane Bay a prime spot for wi-fi “hot spots,” opening up the option of surfing the Web from the pool or coffeehouse.

Green Space
What’s a good amount of nature to have near your house? A field? A pond? How about 200 acres of green space, strategically located and practically begging you to run, sprawl or cavort however you see fit?
Schools
“It’s been great to be involved with Cane Bay from the very beginning. There’s a wonderful vision going on here.”Kenneth Coffey
Assistant Superintendent of Operations and Facilities for Berkley County Schools
In addition to shopping, recreation and healthcare offerings, Cane Bay will feature its very own high school, scheduled for completion in Fall 2008. With a full complement of academic, vocational and athletic programs and a state-of-the-art multimedia network featuring digital projectors in the classrooms, Cane Bay High (Go Cobras!) will serve 1,500 students. Cane Bay’s elementary school, currently in the design phase and scheduled to open in 2009, will sit right across the street from the high school and will match its spacious architectural design, right down to the sloped metal roof. This school’s 700 students will get a brand new facility with an educational environment that upholds the exceptional standards of the Berkeley County School District.
